〜に違いない
JLPT N3:must be
A strong conviction reached by the speaker's own reasoning: "must be", "no doubt".
How to form it
- Put the plain form before に違いない: 知っているに違いない.
- Nouns and な-adjectives take it directly, with no だ: 本物に違いない.
- The polite form is に違いありません.
Examples

He must know already.
これは本物に違いない。

Notes

Common mistakes
- Adding だ. Say 本物に違いない, not 本物だに違いない.
Similar meaning

"Definitely", "of course"; conversational and more forceful.
- 〜はずだshould be (expected)
"Should be": an expectation from facts.
