Puts a yes-or-no question inside a sentence: "whether (or not)…".

How to form it

Put the plain form before かどうか: 来(く)るかどうか, 正(ただ)しいかどうか.
Nouns and な-adjectives take it directly, with no だ: 本当(ほんとう)かどうか.
It is followed by verbs like 分(わ)かる, 知(し)る, 聞(き)く, 確認(かくにん)する (check) and 決(き)める (decide).

明日(あした)来(く)るかどうか分(わ)かりません。

I don't know whether they're coming tomorrow.
