JLPT N3:

as a result of

"As a result of X": introduces the outcome of an action or process.

How to form it

  • Verbs take the た-form: 調(しら)べた結果(けっか) (as a result of looking into it).
  • Nouns take の: 調査(ちょうさ)の結果(けっか) (the results of the survey show…).
  • The second half gives the outcome.

Examples

一生懸命(いっしょうけんめい)勉強(べんきょう)した結果(けっか)、合格(ごうかく)した。

I studied hard, and as a result I passed.

調査(ちょうさ)の結果(けっか)、原因(げんいん)が分(わ)かった。

The investigation revealed the cause.
